A mellow first week...

The past week has been kind of relaxed, especially with no team here, but we have developed somewhat of a routine for each week. The kids go to school everyday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the staff women and Jocelyn go to the market and do a little grocery shopping for the orphanage, buying all the food and whatnot. Tuesdays and Thursdays, while the kids are at school, there is a short staff meeting where we all get together for an hour and pray for whatever needs that come up. Jocelyn and I have decided to start our "english classes" after these meetings. We had our first one on thursday last week. Today, we made a packet of vocabulary worksheets for each of them to work on during the week. Pray that our times together would be fruitful and that the Lord would use the meetings to knit our hearts together. Jocelyn and I are both fools and have never taught an english class before, but we believe that the Lord really does use the foolish of this world to do his work.
This last Sunday, we were able to go on an outreach into a Lawhu village called Non Keow. Baan Immanuel has been doing outreaches there for a little over a year now and a lot of people have come to the Lord. There are actually two tribes that come together here: the Red Lawhu and the Yellow Lawhu. You guys need to be praying for these two tribes. The Red Lawhu tribe does not have the Word of God translated into their language. The yellow Lawhu have a church established in there village but won't let the Red Lawhu come anywhere near it. As a result, the Red Lawhu who come to the Lord eventually fall away because they have no one lead them. Pray for peace between these two tribes and pray for the Lord to raise up pastors and leaders amongst the Red Lawhu. There were about 22 kids there this time. I put up a little slideshow of the outreach.

Prayer requests...

We both have a lot of free time, and we want to be diligent to press into the Lord as much as we can. We want our hearts and minds to be focused on how the Lord can use us here. I have also faithfully gotten a headache every single day since sunday last week. They start at somewhere around 11am and go away around 4pm. Please pray that they would stop, or that the Lord would give us wisdom to know what's causing them. Thank you!!!!

God Bless,
Mulch and Jocelyn
